Remembering a Year in Craft Beer: 2015

So we closed out 2015 here at the Drunken Parrot Brew Pub with a New Year’s Eve party continuing our tradition of a themed party. Granted not much could top last year’s All-American Craft Beer Fest with an amazing selection of craft beer & food pairings from 6 different states, but we tried. This time we went International and not so much of a craft beer selection. But this article is not about our party, but more so about our year in beer and the introduction of another year in beer!
We decided to create this blog to document our own brews and brewing processes as well as our tastings and experiences with other brews and breweries both locally and in our travels. I should start by introducing Drunken Parrot Brew Pub. In short, we’re a husband and wife team from South Louisiana, I’m Toni, my husband is Steven and we have a teenage son. We also happen to be Parrotheads, and since our home bar is Margaritaville-inspired, it became known as the Drunken Parrot Brew Pub. We really don’t take ourselves too seriously, we just enjoy good beer!
Having tasted over 500 different beers last year, it’s hard to remember all of them and I’m definitely not going to list them all. I just want to highlight a few extraordinary ones that really stood out in case you haven’t tried them.
